As Vice President of Finance, John Poss is responsible for the accounting, treasury, and finance functions of Maverick and our portfolio.

Prior to taking on his role, John was the Director of Finance for The Ritz-Carlton Chicago where he contributed significantly to the hotel’s performance, growth, and organizational effectiveness. Over the course of his career, he has held financial and operational leadership positions with major brands including Marriott and Hilton, serving in markets ranging from Chicago to Hawaii, California, Colorado, and Italy.

John is well versed in leading new opening teams, preparing long-range plans and annual budgets, and making recommendations on financial and capital allocation strategies. With a wealth of diverse experience to his credit, John is a key driver on the Maverick team adding value across the company.
